The Chrome Domes have been talked about for their sweet rounded tones and at the same time described as sounding like a Strat on steroids. This was accomplished by modifying a pickup that is already a well sounding pickup. Taking their original Gold Sensor, slammed it with hotter magnets and reverse wounded the middle pickup. Then chrome plated it around heavy brass.
